Climbing the surrounding hills is endlessly rewarding, while lakeside parks and the ‘Funicular’ (steep railways) allow less strenuous exploring. Working up an appetite, walking to each evening’s choice of restaurant from your villa, doesn’t get any more spectacular than on Lake Como.
