Chianti traditional villa for rental - Imagine waking up to a 360 degree verdant panorama of rolling hills, extensive vineyards and olive groves, experiencing an utter sense of peace and privacy right in the heart of the Chianti region: this is the setting of La Vetraia. This beautiful traditional Tuscan villa sits on the hilltop on the site of an old glass factory and has been developed around the ancient tower, strategically positioned to control the pass through the valley below towards San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena. Part of a large gated estate comprising other similar buildings, La Vetraia enjoys total privacy and its own private access to the estate itself.

It has recently undergone a complete renovation to the highest standard transforming the stone tower into a romantic bedroom with a four poster bed affording splendid views over the park and surrounding countryside. Its rural charm and strategic position makes La Vetraia a very attractive base for your explorations of the surrounding territory dotted with quaint medieval villages and fields producing the highest quality wine and olive oil. Local markets and gastronomic fairs, such as the chestnuts and truffles', are a great opportunity to sample some of the local produce. Every July the annual “Sagra della Mercantia” in Certaldo will take you back to the fascinating time of chivalry with jousting, period costumes and antiques stalls along the streets.
