Description Villa near San Gimignano : Located on the outskirts of the medieval village of Montelopio, in a lush, verdant landscape dotted with olive groves, vines and sunflowers is the villa Celli. The property itself dates from the 18th century; a former farmhouse that has been restored with great attention to detail by the proprietors. Original features such as the terracotta floor tiles, chestnut wood beams and stone walls provide a most welcoming environment. The villa measures 250m² whilst the spacious gardens (enclosed) are some 5000m². The ground level has a fully equipped kitchen, living area (with original fireplace) and one bedroom. The first floor hosts the other bedrooms whilst spiral stairs lead to a former ' dovecote' , a tower feature at the top of the house affording a 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape. Each bedroom has self controlled air conditioning, underfloor heating and a central sound system and safe. The kitchen and living room open to a covered pergola (ideal for relaxing meals) whilst the grounds include a small rustic outdoor dining area with barbecue. The pool has a depth from 40 cm to 150 cm with roman spa steps and a hydro massage area whilst the shallow area is ideal for children. |
