Description With a hillside position surrounded by sunflower fields, corn fields and olive groves, this is a quintessential Italian villa escape, located near the village of Marsciano in the green heart of Umbria. With terracotta flooring, wood beamed ceilings and styled in arte povera with rich sunny colours, this is a country house typical for the area. There is a large rustic kitchen, fireplace and other original features throughout the house, nestled in alongside modern conveniences like air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows. The bedrooms have toulipie wood furnishings and beds are wrought iron. For the comfort of guests staying here, the swimming pool enjoys solar heating, whilst in addition there is a Finnish sauna, small gym area, mountain bikes and outside Jacuzzi. Guests can even book a masseur for a special relaxing treat (payable locally). The area is rich in history and places to visit: choose from towns like Deruta, Todi, Assisi, Perugia or Orvieto, or further afield but still within easy day trip range to Terni, Lake Trasimeno, Rome or Florence. |
