Description Lucca villa -This restored villa has been in the owners family since 1800 and is a classic example of a hereditary Italian family home, examples of which can be seen in the delightful restoration of ornate frescos in some of the rooms. The welcoming owner has furnished this home with warm, rich fabrics, antique furniture and with the daily maid service and a welcome meal, has ensured that you are well looked after. Lucca is a cycling town and with bikes available to rent, ten minutes takes you into this charming walled town, with wonderful restaurants, markets in the summer and a wealth of history. The lush hills surrounding Lucca are a delight to explore and the coast, with the popular Forte de Marmi, is only twenty five miles away. The owner lives in a small cottage in the grounds of the villa, with a separate access. Two friendly dogs and one cat live within the grounds. |
