Description Borgo Raffaello is an attractive villa with an elevated position on a hilltop with views towards the medieval city of Pistoia, one of the ten provinces of Tuscany. There are spectacular views southwards across the city plain, where on a clear day it is possible to see the Duomo in Florence. The property enjoys a peaceful location at the end of a private road and is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and mature oak trees. The friendly owners live next door (partially overlooking the grounds of Borgo Raffaello) and welcome guests on arrival and are on hand if any advice or assistance is required during your stay. During the rest of the year they produce their own olive oil and wines. There is a wrought iron gate marking the entrance to the property and a terraced area with steps down to the pool. The living/dining room offers direct access to the terrace via French doors and is adorned with antiques, family heirlooms, paintings and a stone fireplace. There is a rustic, vaulted ceiling kitchen with Faenza tiling and a working fireplace that comes fully equipped. Bedrooms are stylishly decorated with wrought iron beds and the rooms on the second floor have detailed murals on the walls. The property has an enviable location just a few minutes from Pistoia for local conveniences, whilst all the most important towns of historical interest in Tuscany are within comfortable driving distance. |
