Description Luxury Tuscany villa for rent - Combining comfort with rustic tradition, this is a restored 18th century villa that has been immaculately converted by its designer-owner. With antique furniture, terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, colourful bedrooms and spacious bathrooms this property is delightfully light, airy and well equipped. The garden and terrace, set among sloping green lawns and fruit trees, enjoys good views of the lush Lucca countryside and rolling hills. Three resident nightingales and their song add to the ambience in the garden! There is a flower filled courtyard with an 18th century fountain and a Tuscan barbecue grill perfect for al-fresco dining. Daily maid service and towel change is included, with bed linen changed every other day. On request, the owner can arrange a host of extra services (payable locally) that include chef, driver, local tour guide, massage, Italian language teacher or tickets for the nearby Puccini opera festival. Four mountain bikes are provided to help clients explore the local area. The nearest trattoria is under three minutes walking, whilst the medieval, walled city of Lucca is a fifteen minute drive. The Tuscan coast and beaches, including the chic Forte dei Marmi are within 30 minutes, the beach at Pisa Nord slightly closer, as is Carrara. Further afield is Florence or Pisa, whilst still within easy daytrip distance is the Chianti Classico. |
