Located just outside of the town of Rivodutri, this property is well positioned and just ten minutes north from the town of Rieti and the Umbrian border. Dating back to the 18th century, this is a family owned villa that has been fully restored whilst retaining the original architecture. It has a large, well appointed kitchen and a comfortable living area with fireplace. A large dining table seats up to fourteen persons. This farmhouse near Rieti has been attractively furnished throughout in traditional Italian style, with antiques from the owners' family. The gardens are well maintained and enclosed with a playing area for children (with a football goal). Rome itself is just an hour and a half away, whilst Mount Terminillo is thirty minutes (offering winter sports during the colder months and revitalising walks during the warmer months!) There are also other interesting points of interest such as the Marmore waterfalls and the Lungo and Ripasottile nature reserves nearby. There are numerous trattoria and restaurants within 5km of this farmhouse near Rieti including various local delicacies of this region including organic foods, pizza, trout fresh from the restaurants own lake and other simple dishes. |
