Italy villas : Located just five kilometres from one of Tuscany's gems: the city of San Gimignano, is this historical villa with medieval origins dating back to the tenth century. It has a colourful, historical past that includes an Etruscan influence whilst it was used as a luxurious residence for the first time in the 16th century.
It is quite a particular style of property, its historical background and the presence of family antiques mean this villa is not ideal for children and more for parties that would appreciate staying in such a unique place. The property has been fully restored and is surrounded by classic Tuscan scenery including cypresses, oaks and olive groves and is an ideal base from which to explore the best of Tuscany - San Gimignano and its famous towers are a short drive whilst Siena is less than half an hour, Florence is possible in forty five minutes.
The property has antique handmade tiles on the floors, chestnut ceiling beams and is furnished throughout in a classic Tuscan style. Every bedroom has been individually named, each with ensuite bathroom or shower room, air conditioning, mosquito nets and safe, all with good views.
The local area surrounding the villa is ideal for trekking and bird watching, whilst nearby it is possible to partake in a variety of activities including golf, tennis, fishing, and horse riding. The welcoming owners live in a neighbouring property and are available as required for client requests: they would be happy to assist with 'cultural services' clients may be interested in, for example renaissance lectures directly at the villa or arranging tour guides for nearby towns and cities, wine tastings, painting, art and more. In addition a welcome aperitif of typical foods and wine will be offered to clients on arrival, as well as a small 'welcome basket' including complimentary kitchen items and toiletries.
