Villa near Taormina - Casa Ganzirri is a liberty style villa located on the north eastern tip of Sicily, in the region of Messina. The fishing hamlet of Ganzirri is close by with local facilities, whilst the well known beach resort of Taormina is just 45 kilometres away.
The house itself is decorated in a traditional Italian style with a light, airy feel. Heavy wood furniture, tiled floors, portraits, a grandfather clock and a piano lend an element of grandeur whilst bedrooms are elegantly appointed.
The pool area and terrace offer several shaded corners where one can shelter from the sun, perhaps after enjoying a swim, whilst there are further shaded areas of seating closer to the house itself. The road to Ganzirri passes close by the villa; some road noise may be audible from the garden (though road noise should not be heard in the villa itself). Please note the garden is approximately 5000 m².
For days out: Taormina is a popular seaside resort that faces Mount Etna with stunning views and a Graeco Roman theatre. Messina, the third largest city on the island has a colourful history and has many points of interest including ancient churches. There are various other interesting towns in the region, including Tindari and further afield at Syracuse, famous for its ' Neapolis' (an ancient city with a Greek theatre, quarries, caves and Roman amphitheatre).
