Description With an enviable location in a very beautiful part of Tuscany, this is a charmingly restored Tuscan farmhouse dating from the 17th century with many original features including the stone walls, floor and fireplaces. The furnishings are similarly in setting with the history of the property including hand painted bed heads and antique banners. The estate itself is located in the centre of Val D' Orcia in a UNESCO recognised natural park and not far from many of Tuscany' s most attractive towns; Montepulciano for example being just a short fifteen minute drive. The property itself exudes history; the kitchen is furnished with benches from an old Tuscan church with the names of local families chiseled onto them. There is a second smaller sitting area on the first floor that helps create a cosy tea room effect with wooden furniture from the Trento region. The lounge/dining area has a working fireplace, piano and an antique carpenters bench from Alto Adige that serves as the table, whilst additional antiques and artefacts complete the décor. There are various towns nearby to explore, whilst this is also wine country - a great opportunity to enjoy some local vintages. The Umbrian border is also close, so this villa enjoys the best of both regions in terms of sightseeing.
