Beach villa in Sicily - This modern beachside house built in a Mediterranean style is situated near the town of Modica on the south-eastern side of Sicily, not far from Ragusa. A few steps away from the villa extends a white reef of rocks that slowly descends towards the sea and just one hundred metres away, a long beach of golden sand.

The villa is divided into two self-contained apartments, however the unit is rented as one property. A large living room looks out onto a wide terrace (with barbecue) whilst there is also a small 'town' garden area. Bedrooms are comfortably appointed, with two south-facing balconies offering sea views.

Modica, just a few miles away, is an ancient Sicilian town well worth visiting: you'll find restaurants, shops and cafés here, and churches, local events and festas abound. The town is well known for its chocolate industry, a legacy of Sicily's time as part of the Spanish empire, and there are many speciality chocolate shops. A little further afield is the well known town of Ragusa - don't miss a visit to the old, lower, town. It is even possible to take a hydrofoil to Malta in 3 hrs at nearby Pozzallo.
