Near the beaches of Pisa, Villa Alfons is a luxury holiday home combining comfort with rustic tradition. This restored 18th century villa is set amid the lush, rolling hills of the Lucca countryside only a few minutes' walk to a local trattoria and 15 minutes' drive from Lucca itself.  

Antique furniture, terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, colourful bedrooms and spacious, modern bathrooms create a delightfully light, airy and relaxing holiday home. The garden boasts attractive, sloping green lawns with plenty of mature shrubs and fruit trees, and offers picturesque views. The terrace is a lovely place to relax, as is the flower-filled courtyard with its 18th century fountain, and the Tuscan barbecue grill is perfect for al-fresco dining.

Nearby Lucca is a wonderful medieval walled city, its bustling pedestrian streets lined with boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The Versilia coast and beaches, including those at chic Forte dei Marmi and Marina di Pietrasanta, are within 30 minutes' drive; the Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia beaches are slightly closer, as is Carrara. Day trips a little further afield could certainly include Florence or Pistoia, and the Chianti Classico region is also within range for days outs.
