Surrounded by its own vineyards and olive groves, this elegant two-storey villa has a history dating back 1,000 years to its origins as a cloister on the Via Francigena, the ancient road linking Rome and France.
Beautifully restored by its current owners, the villa offers very comfortable accommodation in a tranquil setting. Two flights of stone steps lead down from the house to the large swimming pool, where you can enjoy the sun or sit in the shade of the mature trees. An attractive loggia for summer dining overlooks the extensive lawns surrounding the pool.
The nearest shops and restaurants are just ten minutes drive from the villa in the small town of Montaione. Ideal destinations for day trips include cities of major historic importance such as Florence, Siena and Pisa, all within an hour's drive as well as the smaller, charming hilltop towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo.
