Umbrian villa with views - Casa Piero sits high on a hill with breathtaking views in all directions. Gentle hills and farmland flank one side of the property whilst a rugged mountain topped by a castle from the 12th century flanks the other. Located just a short distance from Umbertide, this property is ideally situated to explore the delights of both Tuscany and Umbria. There are fascinating historical towns like Perugia just a short distance away, whilst Orvieto and Deruta, renowned for its pottery, are a short drive.

The property itself was built in the early 18th century and has been fully restored, whilst retaining original features in a natural Tuscan style with wood beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. Furnishings include attractive antiques and oriental rugs.

Local attractions include Lake Trasimeno, which has its own beaches, shallow bathing waters and water sports activities including sailing and wind surfing. Other attractions within a short distance of the villa include an Alpaca Farm, a water park at Citta di Castello, a zoo and other wildlife parks and of course the famous chocolate factory at Perugia; a wonderful place for a guided tour!

There is a golf course within 2 kms of this Umbrian villa with views.

There is a second, independant cottage in the garden where the caretaker lives unobtrusively; clients' privacy is respected, however she is on hand to assist with requests.
