Let all your cares fall away as you relax into your holiday at this lovely peaceful villa in the Umbrian countryside. When you've recharged your batteries after a couple of days relaxing by the pool and soaking up the view, you might decide to venture further afield.

You will then find that you are ideally placed to explore any number of Italy's historic towns and cities, and indeed spoilt for choice, since you are within easy reach of  Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Perugia (which holds the famous Umbria Jazz Festival in July). Other spectacular hilltop towns include Cortona,  Preggio (with its annual classical music festival) and Montone (where the annual Film Festival attracts an international audience). For slightly longer trips Rome and Florence are within two hours' drive, but you might prefer to stay local and enjoy the simple pleasures of the summertime open-air concerts and operas which are often staged in the gardens of famous villas and palazzi  in Tuscany and Umbria. A week won't be long enough!
